Private Pilates/Personal Training (Women only)

groupPrivate Pilates or Personal Training. One hour of one-on-one training to learn better technique and fine tune your movements. Do you have pain with a workout? Do you have arthritis, back or knee problems, osteoporosis? Learn how to modify your workout safely and effectively to prevent further injury. You may require more medical knowledge than the average personal trainer has to guide you on the right fitness path. Donna’s physical therapy experience in the clinic allows her to get you on the road to recovery and a pain-free workout. Learn where you are weak, what exercises you DON’T need to do and which exercises you DO. Postural analysis will be done-meaning you will be assessed from top to bottom. You will get tips on customizing your workout for YOUR body. Do you need help with your technique at the gym? Get permission and Donna will come and fine -tune your workout. PRICING for personal training varies by studio-contact Donna for info. Payment for scheduling private sessions is due upon scheduling your appointment.

Group Mat Classes (Women and Men classes)

Work in groups of 8-14 at Central City Dance studio in Canton. Class schedule and location are on the CLASSES page. Classes offer a multi-dimensional workout using various fun pieces of equipment like, foam rollers, rings, bands, stability balls, gliding discs, weighted balls, and mini-balls. All equipment provided (with exception of large balls) . Sessions run in 8, 7 and 6 week sessions.

Private Reformer Training (Women only)

What is a Reformer?

Definition: The reformer is a piece of resistance exercise equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. It consists of a platform that moves back and forth along a carriage. Resistance is provided by the exerciser’s body weight and by springs attached to the carriage and platform.

REFORMER Do’s and Don’ts for the Best Workout

DO

  • Wear clothes that are tight fitting and show your posture.
  • Wear sticky socks or go barefoot for the best foot grip and stability.
  • Pull long hair back so that it won’t get caught in the moving parts or block trainers view of your posture.

DON’T

  • Wear pants with zippers on them that may damage the leather carriage or irritate your skin and movement.
  • Wear lotion prior to your workout. You may slip on the carriage or footbar.
  • Wear long, loose pants that may get caught in the springs or ropes.
  • Eat right before a workout. Try at least 2 hours prior.
  • Come for a workout if you are experiencing dizziness, or any illness symptoms.

** Reformer Cancellation Policy: Please give 24- hours notice prior to a cancellation so that the spot can be filled. FULL Fee will be charged for last minute NON- emergency cancellations.

Postural Analysis

Find out about your posture. What do you need to focus on in class? Which moves should you modify, and which should you practice at home? Have pain issues? Learn how to modify for YOU. Work on the Stabilizer, to see if your core is really working.

This new tape will help provide active, dynamic support for the upper back.

  • Spasms, pain or stiffness from overuse or prolonged poor posture.

Group Relaxation Classes

Are you stressed out? When is the last time you calmed your mind? Get a group of people together and learn how to breathe, relax, and meditate. This class will teach how regular relaxation can help your body physiologically. You will learn several different types of relaxation techniques that you can apply to your daily life to calm and de-stress you. This is a great class for work groups, sports teams, clubs and KIDS (minimum 8 people). Cost $25/person for 1 hour session, or $35/person for 1 1/2 hour session. Done at your location.

Group/Team Stretch Classes

Do you have a team, golf group, running group or fitness group that would like to learn how to stretch properly? Learn intense stretches for the entire body, and how to use a yoga strap to improve your stretching. Cost $25/person for a 1 hour session. Longer sessions available upon request (minimum 8 people). Done at your location.

Education/Seminars

Would you like Donna to come and speak at your facility, club, or physical therapy office? Learn about fitness techniques, posture, Pilates, Foam Roller workouts. Contact Infinity Health for more information and to design a presentation just for you. Presentation done at your facility.

The TRX Workout

SUMMERS ONLY

This workout will be available for single person privates or for duets. Duets will split the hourly fee– $30 per person. Duets will do a circuit -so while one person is on the TRX, the other will be doing something equally as challenging. This workout will be outside so you should dress accordingly. TRX training will end Sept 30 for the winter months. You will need shoes, a towel and a strong determination. All workouts will be adapted to your fitness level – of course.

The Stability Chair

Ideal for clients who need to stay in a seated or upright position, the stability chair helps rebalance your muscles while providing a full-body workout. It also facilitates high-performance exercise for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and rehab clients.

While stability chair workouts typically focus on the legs and torso, the split-pedal chair is adjustable to train other muscle groups as well, including arms, back, chest, and more. As a result, users can achieve upper- and lower-body strength and conditioning during every Pilates workout. Jumpboard / Cardio-trampjumpboard

Those of you looking for a Cardio plus Pilates workout can try out the Reformer Jumpboard or Cardio Tramp workout. This interval training will increase your heart rate and also give you those rock hard abs. It’s a challenging workout with LOW impact. Feel like a kid again and JUMP!
